Karen is currently receiving some notable attention on the French airwaves. She is currently playlisted on Radio France’s FranceMusique show “Open Jazz,” hosted by Alex Dutilh and on the internationally syndicated Radio Fidèlitè weekly Jazz á tous les ètages show, as well as, Montpellier’s Divergence FM 93.9 MHz Planete Jazz show on Cofrac International.

Meanwhile, back home Karen gained regular airplay on Jim Wilke’s Jazz After Hours radio show, which is syndicated to stations all over the country on Jazz After Hours. Jim played Karen’s album every week for nearly four months. The program is regularly named one of the top four national jazz radio programs by the JazzTimes Readers Poll and Jim has been frequently nominated for the Willis Conover/Marian McPartland Award for Excellence in Jazz Broadcasting by the Jazz Journalists Association. The show is produced at Hatchcover Productions in Seattle and distributed by Public Radio International from Midnight to 7 a.m. Eastern Time each weekend. It also reaches an international audience via many US stations who also stream the program to the internet. So log-on now HERE.

Karen was recently interviewed on-the-air by Helen Borgers over at Los Angeles radio station KKJZ, where they’ve been playing the album regularly.

She was also interviewed by Bob Collins at WRHU in New York for his show, The Jazz Cafe.

She also recently did an on-air interview at Fresno’s KFSR radio station, which has been very supportive with giving the album plenty of spins.

Canadian Public Broadcasting’s show, Tonic, has also been playing the album, as has Sirius XM‘s Real Jazz Channel, Channel 67.

And…

Karen’s album was listed in Bob Parlocha’s top 40 list the week of Feb 22 – Mar 1, 2010.

It has also been featured on the Roots Music Report’s top 50 jazz albums list seven times, so far.

In addition, it has spent twenty six weeks, so far, on JazzWeek’s list of the nation’s top jazz albums!
